Choice of CCA?
Got to know two SMU undergraduates taking double degree (Accountancy and Business) during their ICT and they recommended me to join them in SMIF (Student-Managed Investment Fund!;) Went to conduct some research and discovered the following information:
Fifty Singapore Management University (SMU) undergraduates are, however, going through this learning process in a substantially less painful way: they are gaining this invaluable experience by administering their school's Student-Managed Investment Fund (SMIF), which conducts 'paper trading' using a mock portfolio. In FY2008, SMU-SMIF outperformed the Straits Times Index (STI), which it is benchmarked against, by 10 per cent.'This is a return which compares favourably with some professionally-run funds. We even outshone some of them in terms of performance,' enthuses Mr Lim.
